The Cross-Overs

Three cross-overs are followed: Price Change Tipping Point, MACD and RSI.

Price Tipping Point. A total of the slope differential of the current closing price to the prices of previous closes. A buy signal occurs when the total goes over zero and a sell goes below.

Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) I use an optimal value.

Relative Strength Index (RSI) Like the MACD - RSI crossover uses an optimal value.

Models for SP500 and Finance Are Bearish.

In the paper account I will be selling SP 500(SPXL) and Finance(FAS). SPXL was held just a couple of days while FAS has been held a month.

Presently the Biotech model (using BIB) is the only bullish model of the 10.

Models Like SP 500 But Not Real Estate nor Small Caps.

So in the paper account I will be buying SP 500(SPXL) and  selling Real Estate(DRN), Small Caps(TNA).

I actually can't sell DRN because I forget to make a purchase entry for it in the paper account.

Two More Models Goes Bearish - Biotech and Real Estate

In the paper account I will be selling Biotechnology(BIB); I missed the  Real Estate(DRN) buy signal on 2/20 so I won't have to sell it (and miss a 4% gain).

This leaves only 4 of the 10 model bullish - Financials based on FAS, Retail based on RETL, Russell 2000 based on URTY and Small Caps based on TNA.  Retail and Small Caps model have been bullish before the blog was started.

Using the current #s the Russell 2000 model may go bearish tomorrow.

Replacing DRN and TNA Model, Retail is a Sell

The model for Real Estate (DRN) , built at the end of the 2013, has not produced any signals so I have decided to replace it with a new model built over the weekend.

The retail model using RETL is a sell today.  This will be a nasty loss for the account - I will rebuild this model too.

So in the paper account I will be selling Retail(RETL),
